Current Hungarian-Venezuelan Government

Level Cooperation

We are proud of the fact that trough our work of globally disseminating  for billions of TV viewers on 5 continents  the common historical ties between our countries, we could not only make a modest contribution to the current government level cooperation between Hungary and The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, but to the Hungarian Government 'Southern Opening" policy as a whole.

According to the Hungarian Government Media Communique, on February the 28th 2017 in the seat of the United Nations in Geneva Switzerland, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Mr. Péter Szijjártó and his Venezuelan counterpart, Madame  Dr. Delcy Rodriguez, Minister of Foreign Affairs of The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, agreed (see picture below right ) that the Bolivarian nation will help Hungary to become a full member of the Commission Against Racial Discrimination of The United Nations Human Rights Council. On this occasion, as a gesture of friendship, Hungary gave 25 „Stipendium Hungaricum” university scholarships to Venezuelan students to study in Hungary. The mentioned scholarships are independent of the mass Venezuelan state-sponsored scholarships in process, managed by the Hungarian Miranda Institute and its Venezuelan State University Consortium Partners.

We are particularly proud of the fact that the Secretary-General of the Union of South American Nations UNASUR with its seat in Ecuador (Latin America's version of the EU), Dr. Ernesto Samper Pizano congratulated us in a letter for the creation of the Hungarian Miranda Institute and expressed his wish to participate in our coming grand inaugural ceremony to take place in Budapest, Hungary.

This is in line with the new Hungarian „Southern Opening" policy announced on the 15 / 3 / 2015 in Ecuador by Mr. Péter Szíjjártó, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, and Mr. Ricardo Patiño, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Integration of Ecuador (see video below  left).
